John Duval Pastoral Ministry & Work Experience
Education and Early Formation
John Duval graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 1985 and earned a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1988. His theological education laid the groundwork for a ministry philosophy rooted in Scripture, presence, and care for leaders.
Pastoral Ministry Experience

• Calvary Baptist Church, Clearwater, FL (1989–1996)
• Two Rivers Baptist Church, Nashville, TN (1996–2003)
• Clearview Baptist Church, Franklin, TN (2003–2012)
Through these roles, Duval developed a deep understanding of congregational leadership, pastoral care, and the unique challenges faced by those in ministry.
Standing Stone Ministry Leadership
Since 2013, Duval has served as Vice President of Shepherding with Standing Stone Ministry, which has a regional office in Franklin, Tennessee, and a national office in San Clemente, California.
Standing Stone exists to create healthy ministries in every city by addressing leadership isolation. The ministry provides free, confidential, biblical guidance through ongoing trusted relationships.

Mediation and Professional Leadership
In addition to ministry leadership, Duval is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Family and Civil Mediator, with specialized training in domestic violence. He has served on the board and as a three-term president of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators.
Personal Life
John Duval has lived in Brentwood, Tennessee, since 2003 and remains deeply invested in the spiritual health of leaders and communities nationwide.
